Position Summary:

 We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Franchise Development to lead our franchise growth strategy and drive transformative results. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the future of our franchise system by aligning sales processes, strategies, and team performance with organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Oversight: Manage and lead the franchise business coaching team, setting a vision and strategic direction for their work to ensure franchisee success. Train and mentor franchise business coaches, equipping them with the tools, frameworks, and knowledge to effectively coach franchisees and address operational challenges.
  • Training Development: Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs for franchise owners and their teams, including regional in-person training sessions, webinars, and online learning modules.
  • Accountability: Establish accountability systems for the coaching team to monitor their effectiveness in supporting franchisee growth and compliance with brand standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and refine coaching and training processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency across the franchise network.
  • Franchisee Engagement: Partner with coaches to identify franchisee needs and opportunities, ensuring tailored support to improve their operational and financial performance.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with executive leadership to align coaching efforts with broader company goals, such as scaling the franchise network, improving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate the performance of business coaches and franchisees, providing constructive feedback and actionable plans for improvement.
  • Crisis Management: Support coaches in addressing critical franchisee issues, such as operational disruptions or compliance challenges, and handle escalations as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred and / or minimum five years of prior managerial restaurant experience is required.
  • Multi-unit operations and/or franchise operations management highly preferred.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of operating and management techniques as they apply to the restaurant industry.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to effectively train, coach, evaluate, and discipline employees. Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests with the goal of obtaining cooperation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, Word) is required.
  • Uses sound judgment in day-to-day decisions by applying the company’s Vision, Values and Culture
